M.A.S.A. was formed by anthropology students and seeks to serve the needs of all anthropology students in Manitoba by acting as a platform for educational, cultural, and social activities to build rapport among its members. As well, MASA is committed to developing skills, resources, and opportunities for student anthropologists and archaeologists to achieve their career goals.

Scholarship Information

C. T. Shay Scholarship
This scholarship is available to full-time graduate students in Anthropology, pursuing thesis research for their M.A. or Ph. D. degrees. Research is to be carried out within (or in an area relevant to) the prairie and boreal forest regions of Manitoba and surrounding provinces and states. Preference will be given to students wishing to undertake research in archaeology, although the award is also open to students in physical and cultural anthropology.
